Our Vision is to create healing-centered, anti-racist learning environments in every space possible.
Our Mission mission is to support our partners to build healing-centered, anti-racist learning environments where people and communities are empowered to dismantle systems of oppression through the discovery of self and the development of empathy for others.
We work alongside organizations serving communities with large populations of Black and LatinX folxs. Our work assists our partners to tackle complex problems such as, and not limited to: racial equity, organizational health, DEI, service impact and leadership development.
Our leadership coaching, strategic planning, and tailor-made workshop services lay the foundation for our partners to turn complex problems into equitable solutions in order to build the habits necessary to drive the outcomes they choose.
Our Story
AD Page Consulting, Inc. is a generational dream that started with the second Great Migration where Black folxs migrated out of the South seeking an escape from the impact of Jim Crow and a better life for their families. Among the millions who made this journey were Dorothy M. Routt and Sidney D. Page. After meeting and marrying in California, they settled in the Bay Area to raise their two sons, Alton DeWitt Page and Alan Darryl Page.
The name, AD Page, represents that conscious choice made by Dorothy, a Supervisor of Social Services for the City of San Mateo for over 15 years and the first in her family to graduate from college, to name her sons using the same initials. She and Sidney, who moved to California from a rural Mississippi farm and worked as a sheet metal worker for over 30 years, sought to create an environment in which their sons could thrive. As a result of their hard work and intentionality, both of their sons graduated from the prestigious Santa Clara University and rise to become executives in their respective industries.
Our Values
Clarity
Clarity is Kindness. Every organization should be able to answer “are our systems, structures, policies, and practices clear and equitable so that all those we employ and serve can thrive?”
Community
All of the work we do is people work at its core. I believe that it absolutely takes a village and a collective interdependence to accomplish anything in life.
Joy
I define joy as being fully present in the moment, no matter what is happening. When we are fully present in the moment, not the past or the future, we can see all of the beauty life has to offer.
Ganas
It takes persistence, drive, grit, and a deep desire to break down any obstacles that might stand in our way. And we don’t need to be taught those traits, they are within us and always have been.
Equity
Ensuring that everyone receives the tools they need to be successful through the removal of barriers while acknowledging the historical injustices and spotlighting those whom are often left voiceless.
Our Core Beliefs:
-
Every person has the ability to actualize their full potential, find their life’s purpose, and work relentlessly to live the life they have dreamed, all while engaging in self-care that enables them to create balance in their life. -
“Clarity is Kindness”. Successful organizations ensure clear, equitable systems to empower, support and value their employees which increases employee efficacy and job satisfaction. -
Equity is a lens that we adopt and choose to see the world through rather than something we "do" and there is no single manual that will lead to organizational equity. In order to best serve all students and stakeholders, an equity lens must be foundational to the way individuals in an organization lead.
- A successful school or school system is the product of effective leadership, who set a clear vision inspired by transformation rooted in the values of the community they serve, and confident educators, who are clear on how their everyday work contributes to organizational goals while feeling successful at achieving those goals despite the unpredictable obstacles they face.
